Revisit is a photographic collection that returns to the idea of home as a utopian state. The work is guided by feeling rather than geography, and continues to expand over time.
The photographs are made in places where a sense of spiritual connection is felt—moments when an environment evokes clarity, calm, or quiet recognition. These spaces are not chosen deliberately, but encountered intuitively, revealing themselves through sensation rather than intention.
Revisit builds upon the utopian state first explored in Lalaland, not by recreating it, but by rediscovering it across different contexts. Each image functions as an individual encounter, carrying its own title and presence, while collectively forming an archive of return.
The collection reflects the understanding that home is not fixed, nor located in a single place, but exists as an internal condition, one that can surface unexpectedly, allowing the self to briefly arrive.

Artist

Amr Attamimi

Amr Attamimi is a Yemeni self‑taught artist born in 1990. His journey into art began in 2010 through photography, where he discovered a deep connection to visual storytelling and the power of sharing images both locally and online. Over time, Amr gradually embraced his creative instincts, allowing curiosity and passion to guide his artistic evolution.

As his practice developed, photography became less about documentation and more about self‑expression and questioning. Moving through multiple phases of exploration, his work evolved into a distinctive dreamlike and contemporary visual language. Growing up in an environment where artistic expression often faces cultural limitations, his art emerged as a personal refuge, a space to process emotion, imagination, and lived experience. His work is deeply influenced by the meeting point between inner worlds and outer realities, as well as the environments he inhabits.

Amr’s work has been exhibited internationally, including in Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, the United Kingdom, and the United States, with exhibitions such as the Middle East Institute in Washington, DC. His work has also been featured in publications including Le Monde and Al‑Monitor.

Since relocating to London in 2015, Amr has balanced his professional career as a consultant with an ongoing artistic practice. Through his work, he continues to explore themes of identity, memory, belonging, diasporic life, and the challenges of self‑expression.
